Train & Partners Architects measures and cuts the
wood for the studs and Amabel Shih cuts the diagonal to accomodate the
angled ceiling in the attic at Children, Youth and Family Services.
The volunteers studded in new walls to help prepare the attic for additional
office space.
University
of Virginia volunteers made several repairs to Barrett Early
Learning Center: patching a ceiling, repairig doors/door frames and
building shelves.
A husband and wife
team from the University of Virginia built 22 book
shelves for the classrooms at Meriwether Lewis Elementary School. Each
shelf was 2 ft. x 4 ft. and will provide much needed storage space for
the classrooms.
Because their old
fence was falling down, Crutchfield volunteers built
a fence around the parking lot at the Arc of the Piedmont. Building
Goodness Foundation volunteers were on hand to lead the project
and coach the Crutchfield team.

volunteers removed a deteriorated skirt from the bottom of a trailer,
insulated underneath to prevent pipes from bursting and added a new
plywood skirt. They also added shelves in the bathroom for an elderly
Jefferson Area Board for Aging client.
