Volunteers from Hantzmon Wiebel spent the afternoon
transplanting
perenials and preparing the gardens for winter
at Jefferson Area Board for the Aging. JABA has a
horticulture program for their Adult Day Health Care clients.

"My team really loves being outside and working the landscape at JABA. We have virtually the same people each year. Jan Mahon is wonderful to work with. It is very satisfying to work there and make a difference with how the site looks after we are finished."
-Carolyn Stone, Hantzmon Wiebel

Piedmont Master Gardeners partnered with Sutherland Middle School to
provide some landscaping expertise. They provided a detailed map of
the types of plantings that would do well at the school, took a soil sample
for testing, removed overgrown existing plants and shrubs and
installed the new plants.

Volunteers from LexisNexis mulched the playgrounds at
Westminster Chld Care Center
