Bank & Trust and Mortgage Capital Investors
set to work at the Mental Health Associations stuffing
envelopes and
attaching labels for a fundraising mailing. They also started to develop
an efficient filing system that MHA staff can continue using.
Volunteers from the
UVA-Teaching Resource Center spent the Day of
Caring surfing the web! But they really were working to collect a plethora
of information for a new website associated with Senior Center,
Inc.
called "The Next
Chapter." The Next Chapter will cover topics for adults over
50, including Health & Fitness, Life Long Learning, Career Development,
Civic Engagement, Social Connections, Care Givers Resources, and
Estate & Financial Planning. Volunteers wrote short descriptions
of their
discoveries and compiled them into one document.
Volunteers from MusicToday
assisted with many tasks at Crozet Elementary,
including classroom assistance and shelving books in the school's library.
