Successful Projects

  • Paint the interior of a youth recreation center.

  • Accompany a group of children from a homeless shelter to pick apples at Carters Mountain Orchard.

  • Landscape a city park utilized by seniors, families, and children.

  • Paint the exterior of a senior's home or help with yard maintenance.

  • Eat lunch with elementary school students on a one-on-one or small group basis - just talking, sharing and learning from one other.

  • Play bingo and sponsor a cake and ice cream party at a nursing home.

  • Clean toys to be given away during the holiday season.

  • Reconstruct an unsafe porch and roof at an elderly couple's home.

  • Go bowling or on a picnic with mentally disabled adults.

  • Set up and run a yard sale, with profits benefiting the sponsoring agency.

  • Help seniors at an adult day care center dance during a "Hoe Down."

  • Repair outdoor playground equipment and toys at a preschool.

  • Prepare a mailing or information packets for an agency.

  • Trim bushes, lay mulch, or build erosion prevention measures at a local nature trail.

  • Go to school for a day and work directly with students, reading or tutoring.

  • Coordinate a book drive at your company to donate to the library at an assisted living facility or child care center.

  • Paint a mural at an elementary school or non-profit organization.
